The 195 Yard Floodlight Tower is an extremely popular accessory with operators because of its usefulness for illuminating sections of a layout, especially for nighttime activities. The 8-light bank uses a very fragile (and expensive) double-pin-type bulb. Lionel also offered an 8-bulb extension as a separate-sale item. Catalogued as 195-75, it came with an identical light bank and two extension posts. This allowed the operator to have 16 lights worth of illumination. The extra light bank could also be mounted without the posts and with the lights facing the rear for double-sided lighting.
