About This Freight Car

The 6151 Flatcar with Range Patrol Truck was sold by Lionel in 1958 only. The car has a metal frame with "LIONEL" imprinted on the sides in black, rubber-stamped, serif lettering. There are three variations of the frame: yellowish-orange, lemon-yellow, and yellowish-cream. Note that the "6151" catalog number does not appear on the car.

Additional Details

The proper load for the 6151 is a plastic truck (white with a black bed) made by Pyro. The vehicle has "LIONEL RANCH" on each door in black letters and "RANGE PATROL" on the sides of the bed in white letters. The load was held onto the car by means of an elastic band. The 6151 flatcar only came with AAR trucks.
