About This Caboose
The 6427 Virginian N5c (porthole) Caboose was a one-year only item sold by Lionel in 1958. The catalog number is 6427-60 but only "6427" can be found on the side of the caboose. The color scheme is an attractive Navy-blue with dark yellow, heat-stamped lettering.

Additional Details
This very scarce and coveted, illuminated caboose was included in only one
catalogued set: outfit #2513W which included the 2329 Virginian Rectifier and five other
fairly-desirable freight cars. Although never catalogued with the 2322 or 2331 Virginian FM
Diesels, the 6427-60 would look very appropriate with either of those engines.
