About This Freight Car

The 6464-700 Santa Fe "SHOCK CONTROL" Boxcar was introduced by Lionel in 1961 and was sold for that one year and then again in 1966. The 6464-700 came with a gray mold which was painted deep red. Further decoration was provided by white heat-stamped lettering plus the "SANTA FE" logo. Variations include two different body types.
