Dave's '55 Chevy Convertible

Many people have noticed my personal E-mail address (icruzina55@aol.com) and asked what kind of a '55 do I cruise in? Rather than send large picture files via the Internet, we decided to make this page available to answer those questions.
The car is a Blue & White (Skyline Blue & India Ivory) 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible. The exterior appears stock with original-looking chrome, wide whitewall tires, and hubcaps. The interior has two-tone blue vinyl upholstery, all gauges, and an AM/FM tape deck with an amplifier. Power is provided by a 350 CID V-8, 4-barrel carb, dual exhausts, and a 4-speed trans with a Hurst shifter on the floor.
I have owned it for over 40 years (since those wonderful '60s when I drove it everyday to Rider College). It finds its way to 3 or 4 Cruise Nights a week from May to October and is used on any day throughout the year as long as it is not raining or snowing. It's a driver and since it has regular plates on it, I drive it everywhere as reflected by the 108,000-plus miles showing on the odometer.
When I registered the car, I was given the license plates -- HON~55C -- by chance! Rather than get personalized antique plates, I rationalize that it means a "Honey of a '55 Chevy." You can click on any of the photos below to form your own opinion.
